Kids' Make & Do: Popsicle Stick Cross Bow

Here's a fun project for kids to make.  My 11-yr. old son made this bow with the green thread, and my 17-yr. old made the one with the gold thread.  They finished these in just a couple of hours.

And the best part is they really work!  They can shoot up to 30 feet!  The choice of ammunition can be either a match or cotton swab, or something similar.

If you have young children in the house, you certainly wouldn't want to use matches for ammunition.  You could also cut the matches and remove the red ignitable part.

The supplies are common and few:  Popsicle sticks, permanent marker (for coloring), embroidery floss or thread, hair clips, and a hot glue gun.

The boys had a lot of fun making these, and of course shooting them.  I think they are really cute!

You can find the video tutorial here.
